Episode 60 Dr. Frank Lipman

The medical industry is at a transition, similar to where the building industry was more than a decade ago when we became more holistic and sustainable. The new field of functional medicine is increasing its reach as we’re empowered to become proactive citizen scientists in our personalized healthcare.

Dr. Frank Lipman has been practicing integrative medicine in his NYC clinic since the beginning of this new field. His books teach us the new tools and methodology through his Be Well programs. He believes “that true health is more than merely the absence of disease, but a total state of physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social well-being.”

Dr. Lipman’s background includes traditional Western medicine plus nutrition, acupuncture, Chinese medicine, herbal medicine, functional medicine, biofeedback, meditation, and yoga. Please join us in this week’s Regen360 podcast as we explore the medicine of the future and how we each can take responsibility for our long-term health. We’ll also learn about Ubuntu, from Africa and his forthcoming book, How to be Well.

Episode 51 Dr. Mark Hyman

To me, everything good we’re trying to manifest in the world fits under the umbrella of health. And yet, we need to drastically accelerate health for both the planet and all people. We’re facing an increasing epidemic of chronic disease totaling about 133 million Americans. Type 2 diabetes is rising steadily, as is Alzheimer’s. The standard American diet is killing us, and we’re aggressively exporting the unhealthy menu of mass-produced products.

It’s time to wake up and see the impact of what we’re putting on our forks. Stress and lack of sleep and sufficient exercise is exacerbating the epidemic. There’s also a close connection between eating well and lessening climate change and water depletion.

Just as we’ve been witnessing an incredible global movement in green building, we’re now benefiting from functional medicine, a systems-based holistic approach to health. It’s based on root cause analysis, instead of treating symptoms.

We’re blessed to welcome Dr. Mark Hyman as our guest in this week’s Regen360 podcast. He’s one of the foremost health experts on the planet, and a ten-time New York Times bestselling author. Dr. Hyman is the Director of the renowned Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine and the Founder and Medical Director of The UltraWellness Center. He’s the winner of the Linus Pauling Award and a previous health policy advisor to The White House and U.S. Senate.

Please join me in this dynamic and life-changing interview with Dr. Mark Hyman. He’s a force of innovation and transformation for our health.
